Francesco Galimi joins Armida Labs as Chief Medical Officer

Armida Labs, Inc. has appointed physician-scientist and biotech executive Francesco Galimi, MD, PhD, as Chief Medical Officer (CMO), bringing more than two decades of experience in drug development, clinical strategy and corporate leadership to the company.

Dr. Galimi joins Armida Labs following a distinguished career spanning major biopharmaceutical companies and clinical-stage biotech, including Amgen, Novartis, Onyx Pharmaceuticals, and Adicet Bio. A European board-certified medical oncologist, Galimi has played a role in the development of four approved therapeutics — Kyprolis®, Kisqali®, Imlygic® and Nplate® — and served as clinical lead for the registrational trial of Imlygic, an oncolytic virus therapy.

His experience extends across a broad range of therapeutic platforms, including small molecules, antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, T-cell engagers, oncolytic viruses and allogeneic cell therapies. Dr. Galimi has participated in regulatory interactions supporting more than 25 IND/CTA and NDA/BLA filings across the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Japan, and China.

At Adicet Bio, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer from 2019 to 2024, Galimi helped build the company's clinical organization from the ground up. He led clinical and regulatory efforts supporting ADI-001 in lymphoma and autoimmune diseases and played an important role in investor-facing activities surrounding a reverse merger and two public offerings that raised more than $200 million.
